Who is this for?
We’re looking for curious, committed individuals with a specific area of interest or challenge they’d like to investigate.
Examples include:
An actor exploring physical presence, gesture, or freedom on camera
A dancer investigating coordination, movement habits, or expressive range
A martial artist exploring balance, responsiveness, or the organization of force
A performer working with breath, voice, and movement
Someone developing greater ease, confidence, or adaptability in everyday movement
You do not need to be an experienced performer. What matters is curiosity, willingness to practice, and openness to observing change.
What participation involves
Together, we’ll identify a question or movement task that can be explored and documented over time.
Participants agree to contribute:
1. An initial recording
A short video showing your starting point in a chosen movement, exercise, or performance task.
2. Practice documentation
Occasional short smartphone videos showing your experiments, discoveries, and evolving practice.
3. A final recording
A video revisiting the original task after three months, allowing us to observe what may have changed.
4. A personal reflection
A short written or recorded reflection on your experience and discoveries.
No professional camera equipment is required. Guidance will be provided on framing, lighting, and recording so the material is clear and useful.
For NYC-based participants, an additional in-person filmed movement portrait may be possible by mutual arrangement.
An authentic process
These studies are intended to document genuine exploration—not to manufacture dramatic transformations or promise predetermined results.
The aim is to observe how attention, practice, and experimentation can influence movement, performance, and self-understanding.
Filming and privacy
Participation in a case study involves documenting your practice, but does not automatically grant permission to publish your image, voice, or private coaching material.
Any proposed public use will be discussed separately and requires your specific consent. You may decline publication without losing access to your coaching.
After the initial three months, coaching may continue at the standard rate of $500/month.
